Hill House

Hill House was the first labour of love for Simone and Rhys Haag. In Melbourne’s leafy Eastern Suburbs in a quaint 50’s block, Simone and Rhys transformed the space that was in “very original condition” to an inner city home that for what it lacked in size, punched well above its weight in style and design. The kitchen featured elba marble bench tops and splash backs with crisp white joinery. A sweet bathroom renovation with penny rounds and homely touches like the bathroom mirror crafted from an old Thonet seat and vintage Royal Copenhagen ceramics. The home was then layered with a mix of high and low furniture pieces from the Ikea storage unit to the iconic Ligne Roset Togo sofa.

It’s a testament to Simone that in THE smallest house I was able to capture THE most shots. It’s what I call a ‘360 degrees shoot’ - everywhere we turned, there was beauty

The house went on to be photographed by Megan Morton and Jason Busch and featured in Inside Out. It was also used for numerous shoot campaigns and feature in popular blog The Design Files.
