Kay House

Koonya Beach House was a ramshackle house on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula – although with unlimited potential – when Charlotte Pittella and her husband bought it five years ago.  It was literally the worst house in the street by a long stretch, but through the peeling paint, dirty tiles and rusty taps Charlotte could see the potential and went about a full scale renovation. As a longtime friend and mentor, Simone observed the journey sharing her design insights along the way.

When designing for clients, I find decision making easy, yet designing for myself providing the ultimate challenge. It was invaluable to have a trusted sounding board by way of Simone and I loved seeing the house in print thanks to the photo-shoot that ensued

Simone was the natural choice to style the house shoot alongside Eve Wilson and she crafted the story titled ‘Freshly Minted’ which subsequently went on to be published in Real Living Magazine April 2015.
