Poynton House

‘The Log Cabin’ , as it is affectionately known is the modernist home Simone shares with her Husband Rhys, two daughter’s Goldie and Clover and rescue dog Tank. Lovingly restored with a bit of help from design mentors Paul Hecker and Hamish Guthrie, the space has been furnished & styled with Simone’s signature of mixing key design pieces (such as her prized tan leather Marenco sofa) with vintage finds and layered with objects and textiles - ultimately creating a warm and welcoming retreat in Melbourne’s leafy East.

Doing our ‘Man About The House’ show at Simone and Rhys’s house was the perfect storm, lovely home owners and a modest yet beautiful space that was a treat to visit for not only myself and Kit, but all of the guests that day

Simone’s home has been celebrated by The Design Files, The Sunday Life magazine, Elle Decoration UK, Norway & Mexico, Urbis, The Herald Sun Home Magazine, RealLiving along and a truck load of blogs.

Design aficionado and funny man Tim Ross recently performed his ‘Man About The House’ show at the home and along with being featured in a campaign for Haymes it regularly used (and also available) for location hire.
